A Memory
For the young, a memory is something not important. A moment in time that is quickly forgotten on the path to somewhere else. And when they are at the place they were in a hurry to get, they live in the moment – and then the moment is as quickly forgotten as the path to get there. Every once in a while, a moment offers something more permanent – a chance meeting of a future friend, future lover, a moment of hope in an otherwise unremarkable event, thereby creating a memory that may last a lifetime – to be taken out and examined when the person is old and memories are all that is left of a lifetime of moments.
